		<description>Until cloud providers get SLAs in-line with common (not even niche) internal SLAs, then the game gets real.  Right now, I don&#039;t know many (any?) medium- or large-scale enterprises who will tolerate a 99.5% SLA, with egregious rules about having to be down more than 15 contiguous minutes and multiple lapses within 24 consecutive hours &quot;before it counts&quot;.  And, even when it counts, most only offer a prorated refund for downtime.  I&#039;m sorry, but if I were down for 48 straight hours, I wouldn&#039;t lose a couple days&#039; pay, I&#039;d lose my job.
